Meet Your Instructor
My name is LaSonja, and I am a certified Anger Management Facilitator with both lived and professional experience supporting individuals through emotional regulation, stress, trauma, and behavioral change.
My approach is grounded in practical, skills-based learning that meets people where they are while encouraging accountability and personal growth. I have experience working with individuals in community-based programs and correctional-adjacent settings, and I view anger management as an opportunity for empowerment rather than punishment.
I facilitate every class through a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and nonjudgmental lens, creating an environment where participants feel respected, challenged, and supported as they work toward meaningful change.
Course
By the end of the 12-week Anger Management Program, participants will have the knowledge, skills, and confidence to respond to life's challenges in healthier and more productive ways. Participants who actively engage in the program can expect to:
Recognize personal anger triggers and early warning signs.
Understand the difference between anger, aggression, and healthy emotional expression.
Develop practical coping strategies to manage anger before it escalates.
Improve emotional regulation and decision-making under stress.
Communicate more effectively during conflict using healthy, respectful techniques.
Take accountability for behaviors while understanding the impact of their actions on themselves and others.
Strengthen relationships at home, work, and within the community.
Reduce impulsive reactions and replace them with thoughtful responses.
Create a personalized Anger Management Plan for continued success after the program ends.
Build greater self-awareness, resilience, and confidence in managing emotions.
Our goal is not simply to help participants complete a requirement—it is to equip them with practical tools that promote healthier relationships, reduce conflict, improve emotional well-being, and support lasting personal growth long after the program has ended.
